Irises are resilient, claiming their place among the garden with a determination unmatched by any other perennial.  They are among the first to appear beneath receding snow, stretching toward the warm spring sun, and opening delicate crowns on unbending stalks.  I admire their strength, touched by elegance.

This original water color painting is 16 x 20 inches, and done on 140 lb. acid free water color paper.  It is available framed (as shown) in a gold metal frame, behind a clear UV protective sheet, and backed with acid free foam core.   It is ready for immediate display.
