History is an influencer of our memories.  We recall places we've been, the people we've met, and it is often those memories that hold us close to one another.   Oh, to remember such a place like the Balsams Grand Resort Hotel, where the gardens once bloomed brilliantly, and families wandered by a lake among the cliffs.
