I took a walk along the top of Murphy Dam on a brilliantly sunny day, and was inspired by the beauty of the Purple Crown Vetch. I envisioned a larger painting , with its pink and lavendar blossoms framing the edge of this lovely view of Lake Francis .

These delicate little blossoms form on long creeping stems, and the plant's root system gives it the essence of stability. It's also believed to clear away old energies, and usher in lasting abundance. I could see why it was chosen to decorate the crest of the dam. As I walked along, admiring the glistening diamonds dancing on the lake, I decided there wasn't another plant that would have been more fitting for this beautiful spot.

“There I walked along the shore, where gentle breezes stroked the waves, and tiny stars of sunlight danced on crown vetch in abundance."
